Ho ho holiday review

Christmas Eve was a potluck hosted by
greekcub and
mason5280 Was a lovely evening full of laughter and good food.
Christmas Day was a lazy morning channel surfing and chatting. Pretty much every channel had some kind of marathon of some show or other. Then in the afternoon, I watched Die Hard. Nothing says Christmas like "Yippie Kay Ay, Motherf***er" Then off to dinner with my friend, Gary and his partner, and another friend from the hood. The laneway leading to their house was an ice rink. Gary actually had to walk me to the street to keep me from going flying. We watched Get Smart which was a lot of fun. I think Steve Carell is funny and kinda hot. And I just might go bi for Anne Hathaway.
Boxing Day was another lazy one, though I did see a benefits friend in the afternoon. Will post some detail to the TMI filter when I get home from work, for those who read the smuttier stuff. Afterwards, he dropped me at Gerrard Square and I went to Staples to pick up a new computer as mine was just getting worse. Turned out they had a great deal on one that was better than the one I had been looking at. 2G Intel Core 2 Duo, 3G RAM, 250G hard drive, good graphics card. Was the last one in the store too. Though the infant who served me looked like he should be home doing his algebra rather than working. Got the machine and three year extended warranty for under a thou.
And yes, I know I should have gotten a Mac, because ZOMG, MACS ARE THE GREATEST INVENTIONS EVAR AND THEY WILL SINGLEHANDEDLY SAVE MANKIND FROM EVERY ILL PLAGUING SOCIETY!!! but I would have had to pay double what I did pay and that ain't gonna happen.
And yes, to the Chicken Littles, I know that VISTA IS THE DEVIL'S WORK AND WILL SURELY CRASH MY MACHINE AND EXPLODE TAKING OUT THREE CITY BLOCKS!!!!, but you know what? The installs of my favourite programs went tickety boo and got it all tweaked out the way I wanted it. Seems fine so far. And the Aero interface is really nice, very sleek and nice to work with. Turned off the User Account Control as I'm the only person using it.
The weekend was full of grand plans, but mostly just consisted of fiddling with my computer and chatting with cute men. May actually get a date out of it.
Friends are having a party for NYE, but I'm not feeling it. I kind of want to be mellow and quiet. What I really want is to be cuddling and maybe nookieing but no luck so far.
I have made a decision though, for the new year. I'm going to do a photoshoot with
bitterlawngnome He's an amazingly talented guy and I am in need of some pics. I'm feeling blah about my body and being part of some (hopefully) beautiful art is something that helps me. I want to document my changed body now that it seems to have settled into what it is. Show the scars and the stories. Me, as I am. I'm thinking of pushing myself way out there past my boundaries. Full frontal and full backal. I need to face the fear of what my body is. It helps that he's so frickin' talented. I'm lucky.
And that's me. Hope you all have a wonderful NYE and that this new year finds you safe and loved and filled with wonder.

but I would have had to pay double what I did pay
I loved my PBG4. Yes, they are sex in a metal case. But. After paying $lots and having it fry a few years later, I can't see myself doing that again. Sigh.
