10 years ago today, he was beaten and left to die on that fence near Laramie, Wyoming.

We've come a long way since then, and yet there's still so much further to go.

it doesn't seem like it can only have been 10 years... it seems SO much longer ago. I kept his picture on my desk at work for months, not many public things have affected me the way his death did.

i remember that. fucking horrifying. there is nothing worse than the atrocities that humans inflict upon each other.
