May. 27th, 2008 12:31 pmBecause I got home early from writing group last night, I figured I'd give the A&E miniseries remake a shot, despite all the bad reviews.
I managed to give it an hour and I want that hour of my life back. It was every bit as horrible as I suspected. A bunch of good actors trapped in one of the worst scripts going. The only amusing thing was seeing lots of familiar Canadian actors in the minor roles. And the novelty wore off. Fast.
Don't bother. Rent the original Robert Wise film version. Or read the novel. But shun the new miniseries. I beg you, save yourselves
