Bits and pieces for the end of the week:
- I gave in and joined FaceBorg...I mean Facebook. PM me here and I'll pass the deets if interested
- It has been the week of the headphones. I had those little silicone, squish them in your ear and they block out sound earbuds, but they were giving me a headache. So I bought these, but while they sound great indoors, I could barely hear anything. So, back to the drawing board and I bought these instead. And I love them. Beautiful sound (for a non audiophile like me) Only downside is I look a bit like this when I'm wearing them ;)
- When I went to leave the house this morning, my iPod was clear, no music at all. I had added CDs last night and updated, but for some arcane reason, nada. So, naturally, I called work and told them I would be late. Then I restored the iPod and reloaded all 3100 songs.
- I watched the Arab American Comedy Tour on DVD last night. Super funny! The comedians were Ahmed Ahmed, Dean Obeidallah and Maysoon Zayid. Amusing and interesting take on being an Arab American in today's post 9/11 world. And Ahmed and Dean are hot
- And on that note, merely because hot middle eastern men made me think of it, I want to state for the record: I like my men furry. Don't manscape, don't trim the bush into a pleasing topiary shape. Just leave it be. I have zero interest in skinny twinks who look like they haven't finished high school. The smooth college boy type leaves me cold. While ultimately, it's about the person, not the hair, I know what I like. This being said, I will admit to two small hypocrisies in this area. I hate the hair on my back. I waxed once. Once being the operative word. Never again. I clipper it down to stubble, so I get the look I like, without the nasty breakout. And the other thing is: I trim my chest hair just enough to reveal my scar. It's mine, I think it's cool and I earned it. When I am wearing an open shirt, I am showing that f*cker off, damn it. Like my sister says: badge of honour, baby.
